Sometimes I wish I knew a few more people in town. My promises to be more social always turn out to be empty ones. I could use a drink though. Anybody care to join me and risk being bored to death before you get your pint?

Continuing along those lines, any local potion prodigies? It's a matter of some importance.

Once I'm feeling a bit more like myself, I'm going to be clearing out some inventory in the workshop. I have more chairs and anyone could ever sit on. If someone needs one, you're welcome to them. Otherwise they'd make excellent firewood if anyone wanted a bon fire.

You and I have some things to discuss.

May. 7th, 2010

I'm just not sure what to do around here anymore. I'm trying not to sulk about Teddy's departure or lock myself away in my workshop. But at the same time there are some people in this village that, well, nevermind. There are just certain people around here that everyone else should avoid. That's all.

Is there currently a potions master in town?

Apr. 26th, 2010

I've decided to start an expansion to my workshop. Perhaps try building more than furniture for awhile, something to keep myself busy. I need to get out more. I've said it before, but things in this town are passing me by and I've missed opportunities I could have made more of.

Private, could be read by Sirius if he tried hard enough )

I'm not quite sure why, but I seem to manage to keep myself out of the major issues of the town. It isn't something I try to do, it just seems to happen. There are loads of people here now, not like when we all first came here. I suppose it's just a bit too much to try to keep track of who everyone is, what they are doing, and what petty thing they are arguing about. Sorry, but most arguments I've seen are petty. I'm not trying to intentionally belittle anyone's argument.

Making great strides in the world of carpentry isn't as interesting as it used to be and being a hermit is no longer interesting to me. There are two people in particular that I haven't seen in ages who need to come over sometime. James and Lily Potter, version 1. We have some things to discuss.

Thank you for the gifts. I had a quiet birthday, which is what I'm used to. It was quite nice, I even skipped work today. Really the day just sort of sneaked up on me, I don't know if I would have even noticed if it hadn't been for Teddy's gift (which I did not have, so that shall be going in the living room).

There seems to be some new people in town. Everyone comes to town in groups, don't they? It's hard to believe that I've been here nearly a year. Does that make me a village elder? I've met one of the new people, but I suppose I don't get out much, do I? I really should do something about that sometime.

I usually try to avoid making comments about some of the shenanigans that go on in this town, but these little hearts are some of the more ridiculous things yet. And my workshop is open just enough to hear them all bloody day. Paddy has managed to attack at least one, I saw her chewing on a tiny little arm this morning. So, perhaps if you have pets, it might be a good idea to set them on the little buggers.

[Snape]
Your bookshelves are done. You can either stop buy whenever you'd like to pick them up, or I can bring them over.

Feb. 6th, 2010

Teddy, you and I need a project.

I'm getting rather tired of sitting around the workshop freezing to death. Oh, damn, I just remembered that I actually have something to build. I'll get to that tomorrow. I'd like to say that things have been hectic, but they haven't really. This town is quite dull most of the time. It seems most people keep each other entertained with personal drama, something I seem unable to avoid no matter how hard I try.

James and Lily, both of you need to come over for dinner one night. I've barely seen either of you. Harry, you should come over too. I haven't seen the older, mime-ier you.

Since it seems, yet again, that we have a large influx of new people, should anyone need anything built, I am available. Although I haven't been spending quite as much time in the workshop. It's been a bit too cold for such things and its just a bad idea to start a fire in the fireplace or get one of those space heater things with all the lumber around. But Teddy and I did make this for his dog: )

And my raccoon is safe and sound, so thanks for the concern. I'm pretty sure she can't move very fast anyway, since Sirius keeps her fed up on crepes.

Is this snow ever going to stop?

Jan. 12th, 2010

I've noticed a few other people mentioning it, so apparently I'm not the only one who has noticed that the grocery is empty. Which is unfortunate because there isn't really that much food left in this house. I'm sure that this is that Skeeter woman's attempt at being clever. Perhaps she's testing us to see who will resort to cannibalism first.

Things have been rather quiet since Christmas. And I have to admit that it's a bit difficult to work in an unheated workshop with the cold temperatures and the snow everywhere. And now there's apparently a food shortage. It just keeps getting better.

Dec. 24th, 2009

It's becoming unsafe to even walk the streets in this town. I miss the days when the worst thing out there was a hungry raccoon.

Happy Christmas, all.

Dec. 20th, 2009

It's been a long week, and this Secret Santa thing... I'm at a loss. But I'll figure something out. I sort of have to, don't I? Besides, its Christmas. Christmas in this place. Its best not to let Ms Skeeter ruin it for everyone, wouldn't you say? I'm going to go try to sleep again.

Dec. 9th, 2009

Is there a place around here for Christmas trees, or are we supposed to be chopping down trees from the woods that surround this place? Because given all the lumber I have and the broom maker, when there was one, and I think there's a lumberjack as well? Pretty soon there won't be any trees left. Although given this place, trees will magically just reappear.

There seem to be some new inhabitants here. Does anyone need any furniture? Generic stock pieces aren't nearly as interesting as the things you people come up with sometimes.

Please stop feeding Paddy. She is not a garbage disposal, she's a raccoon, and feeding her certain things can make her sick. I don't appreciate raccoon vomit. Pet her, she's nice. But stop feeding her, please!

After working on that drafting table for a good, solid week for the girl who ended up leaving and not even needing it, I'm fully prepared to expand my skills as a carpenter. Perhaps I'll start building houses soon. People can live in their own places. Imagine that.

I'm not sure what else to say right now. I think I need some sleep.

Nov. 9th, 2009

Work has been slow, news has been slow, and I think that time itself has slowed down. I failed to make a proper appearance at Alice's Hallowe'en party, which doesn't say much for me, does it? I'm just not good at the whole costume thing.

Sep. 29th, 2009

Is there a sudden housing shortage that three grown men have to share a house meant for two people? I'm not sleeping on a sofa.

Sep. 15th, 2009

It seems things have calmed down here much since the last time I wrote anything here. Which is nice, of course, but who knows when that might change. I haven't seen much of anybody lately, with the exception of Emmeline at that karaoke gathering the other day, and I don't know that I can even explain what I've been up to. There hasn't been much work to do, nobody seems to need anything built lately. Days have just been flying by and I seem to lose track of them. In other words, I've been boring. As I typically am.

Aug. 8th, 2009

[Private to all members of the Order of the Phoenix + the DA + Teddy]

It seems quite a few of you keep bringing up a meeting or patrols or organization of some kind. Perhaps there should actually be a meeting at long last instead of continued chatter about it. Bellatrix Lestrange is one woman and she's flitting about attacking people at will. Unless someone has a better idea, maybe you lot should come to my workshop Monday evening, say, around 6pm? If its convenient, of course. Or if anyone has any better ideas, I'm open to suggestions.

Jul. 15th, 2009

Teddy, there is still a boat in my workshop. Were you wanting to finish that off soon? It can stay there as long as you'd like, that's not a big deal. I'm just curious.

I've been quite unsocial since arriving in this place. It's been months and I've barely been out of my workshop. Every time I go elsewhere things seem to happen. Either people are being attacked by Hogwarts founders or I get turned into a seventeen year old boy again or I gain a pet raccoon or something equally strange. I've not seen any of my old friends lately. I've been to see Peter, but not Lily since she's returned. Nor Alice, Fabian, or Caradoc. Long story short, I need to get out more.

Jul. 2nd, 2009

I should have written after the picnic while I was still 17. It would have given me something interesting to write about. Instead I'm afraid I don't have much of anything to say. I just thought I should put out a general bulletin letting everyone know I'm still alive. The workshop is getting crowded, but since there are a few new arrivals, I may as well ask if anyone needs anything as far as furniture is concerned. I need something to do.

James and Lily have gone and that has Sirius down and pouting in a workshop of his own and I'm afraid I don't know very many other people here who still talk to me. It is times like these that make me realise how anti-social I have been since arriving here.
